Course description:
Wireless network provides ubiquitous information access and resource sharing, which dramatically changes the way people compute and communicate. This course introduces the fundamental concepts, theoretical models and design principles, and explores the latest development and open research issues in wireless network algorithms, protocols, architectures, and applications.
Credit: 3 credit hours
Prerequisite:
The course requires a background in computer networks (e.g. cs283 or equivalent).

Presentation
Each student will give a 40-minute presentation on one paper in class. Please sign up for the presentation topic by Jan 31. The presentation will be evaluated by students (5%) and the instructor (5%). Here is the Presentation Evaluation Form. Send your presentation slides to the instructor for comments at least two days before your presentation date.
Review
Each student is required to submit a 1/2-1 page review one of the papers presented every two weeks. Total 5 reviews are required and will be used for grading. The guidelines to write reviews and some review samples are posted to OAK system for your reference.
Project
The course includes a semester long project. You may work as an individual or in a team of no more than three students. Any topic related to wireless network can be chosen for your project subject to the approval from the instructor. Dates are scheduled through out the semester for project deliverables. Please refer to the project description for detailed project requirements.
